To Keep Your Spindle Spinning Smoothly:

• Handle with care.
Tibetan spindles have slender, finely balanced tips. Avoid dropping the spindle or storing it where it may roll or fall.

• Keep it dry.
Wood responds to changes in humidity. Store your spindle away from extreme heat, moisture, and direct sunlight to prevent warping or cracking.

• Condition occasionally.
If the wood looks dry, lightly buff with a soft cloth. You may apply a very small amount of food-safe wood conditioner or beeswax polish if desired. Avoid heavy oils.

• Clean gently.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water, soaps, or harsh cleaners.

• Protect the tip.
When traveling, wrap the spindle or use a padded spindle case to protect the tip and preserve the spin.

• Use on smooth surfaces.
If spinning supported, choose your favorite Spinner's De'Lite or smooth surface to prevent abrasion to the tip.
